About

The State Museum at Majdanek was founded in 1944 on the grounds of the former German concentration camp. Its central mission is to cultivate the memory and promote historical education about the German occupation in the Lublin region during World War II.

Our contribution is two multimedia applications displayed on touch screens and in a spectacular holographic projection technology. The first one is an interactive map containing a 3D model of the site of the former camp, which provides more information about structures located along the route, access to archival films, contemporary and archival photographs and interesting descriptions of every structure.

The second application is a multimedia archive containing dozens of digitized documents and photographs which familiarise the visitor with the history of Majdanek. The two applications have been prepared for both Polish and English-speaking audience.
